Bidrage med feedbackLocated in the neighbourhood area, this historic building (built in 1893) looks just like an ordinary house from the outside.I love how they keep the rustic look and highlight the wood-based decor throughout. It gives a homey and comfy feeling. Some of the furnitures are antique and they serve some of the food and drinks on vintage plates and Victorian style tea cups! I started with the coffee and it was great (from Morgans Coffee). As for the dishes, I tried their Nutella French Toast, Buttered Arabian Eggs and Soft Taco.Portions of all dishes were generous and they looked mouth-watering.Nutella French Toast: what an indulgent dish. Everything was spot on and I really loved the espresso mascarpone. Buttered Arabian Eggs: absolutely delicious. The flavours were complex and unlike anything I’ve tasted before. Impressive. A must try dish!Last but not least was the Mango Smoothie. Oh wow! Thick and indulgent with perfect sweetnes and mango flavours!Make sure to check the awesome street mural by Mexican artist when you’re there!
I had the burger it was great, just like a really well done homemade burger. The meat patty was made using good quality beef, the aioli and sauce were perfect and the slaw yum. I just love the bun, crunchy crispy and overall this burger was just yum. Served with chat potato’s on the side that were crispy and tasty. Loved it
The breakfast was really good here. Great vibe, friendly service and delicious food beautifully presented. Such a small place considering the crowd of people who were there (only one table was available, we got lucky) but well worth visiting.
CHICKEN SCHNITZEL CLUB WRAP $19.50 – it’s on blackboard specials that available daily at revolver. Oh I love this wrap, I’m looking at my friend’s instagram and they’ve got the mac and cheese chicken wings. When I arrive here, it’s looks out that it’s not a daily menu so I try to order today’s menu which is the chicken schnitzel wrap. OH-EM-GIE!!! THE BEST CHICKEN WRAP I EVER TASTE!!! Chicken schnitzel, smashed avocado, bacon, coleslaw, tomato, swiss cheese and chipotle aioli is massive delicious in one plate. Love all the ingredients! 10/10 <br/ <br/ CORN ROSTI $20 – House-smoked Tasmanian salmon on a corn rosti with lemon mascarpone, baby spinach and avocado. Another massive food to order. I love the crunchiness of that rosti, the acidity of lemon mascarpone is just on point. And that avocado and spinach add refreshment to this dish and the smoked salmon take this rosti to another level. What a great dish! 9/10 <br/ <br/ NUTELLA FRENCH TOAST $17.50 – Brioche with nutella, roast pear, espresso mascarpone, crushed hazelnut and fresh berries. This one totally the best french toast I ever eat in Sydney. That espresso mascarpone would be the WINNER! And the other bold element compliment each other as well, you must take one big spoon of all the elements and you could taste the BOMB in your mouth full of amazing and tasty flavour. OH I WANT TO ORDER IT AGAIN but we still have many restaurant list to try... 10/10 <br/ <br/ HOUSE MADE SPICED CHAI $4 – Love their chai but nothing special. My top 3 list is still on the other restaurant. But all their food are UHMAZINGGG!!! 6/10 <br/ <br/ OMG the owner is superb kind and their food is amazing as well! I said I like their food especially that espresso mascarpone and I’m from Indonesia , He said thankyou and it is homemade mascarpone, then suddenly the owner give me a box of “BEST mascarpone espresso I ever eat” for free-takeaway! YEAYY! LOVE IT!
My last day in Sydney visiting a friend’s studio in Annandale who took me to lunch. Nice building away from the hub. Appeared to be a former pub. The place was bustling with diners. Interior warm cosy. Exposed brick walls, ‘antique’ timber chairs tables. Its such a nice change from the cold concrete industrial decor that still dominates in cafes. The ‘Monogram L.V.’ upholstery on my chair was a hoot. I am assuming it was fake...My friend ordered the rosti with corn kernels served with sliced avocado, smoked salmon salad leaves. Thoroughly enjoyed by the speed it disappeared off the plate! I chose the cheese burger which came piled on a large open bun. The thick, well cooked patty arrived on a bed of slaw beetroot sliced topped with melted cheese three thick slices of pickled cucumber. It was accompanied by crisp roasted baby potatoes. I decided to use a knife fork on this occasion as it was impossible to eat it with your hands. The meat was moist juicy. I even enjoyed the pickle which was not too vinegary. The salad crisp fresh. I had to forgo the bun as the filling was quite generous. An espresso was all that was need afterwards to complete an enjoyable meal.
