Satchel's Bbq - Ann Arbor

Opened on Valentine's Day and I think I found my new love! the bbq rice bowl is delicious. long time satchel’s BBQ client of the Washtenaw location; unnecessary to say we are so happy to have them in the city! fresh, hot, homemade. the new best bbq in the city.

Great BBQ. wide ranging menus. Generally friendly and helpful staff. Some individual tables and some communal. A couple out door picnic tables but the outdoor seating is clearly not a focus (most places downtown have better outdoor seating options). BEST dam mac&cheese on the planet!!!!

Good food and surprisingly available for a busy Saturday night. We were happy to get a table for twelve on short notice. The brisket was superb. Sides were middling--good, not great. But everyone loved the meat, even if the cornbread wasn't exceptional.

Pictures are worth 1000 words! Brisket was so dry, inedible. Corn bread same.

Great place for bbq, in comparison to other places satchels has tons sitting area and has everything available on the menu. the mac n cheese is amazing, a must! the pulled pork sandwich is to die, the brot is fantastic. and the place is not expensive.
