Tabla - Anjuna

We frequently attended the Tabla for dinner (and pre dinner drinks if we were going elsewhere the welcome from the staff every time is brilliant, always smiling and happy to serve you. They have a 20% happy hour discount from 5pm to 7pm which is great if you're going there for pre dinner drinks, Bunty (lad behind the bar makes some lovely cocktails. If you're staying for dinner any one of the seats will give you a lovely view as the Tabla is set up high so you can either get a view of the road and the comings and goings of people, view of the gardens or view of the pool, all is lit up at night with pretty fairlights giving a lovely atmosphere. Located at an end of a road this is a peaceful resturant no beeping traffic and therefore a nice quite meal can be had. They have a buffet laid out every evening of tradition food but if you don't want the buffet their menu is good and gives a various choice of international foods along with Indian/Goan foods, service to the table is quick, food arrives quickly and plates are cleared away quickly. Wednesday is bbq night beside the pool this really makes you feel like you're on hols! Management (Prem is one of the managers keep a good eye on the staff to make sure guests are always happy and not waiting to be served. Also if you want something that is not on the menu they will happily make it for you all you need to do is ask. Due to this resturant being part of the resort LaGoa Azul if you are attending for lunch you can use the facilities of either pool two pools, one beside the resturant and one beside the reception, both pools are lovely and quiet. You will also get service down at the pool so you don't even need to go to the resturant if you don't want to!! Thank you all at the Tabla we'll be back soon!

What a fab restaurant with great staff. They do a buffet for breakfast and some nights a buffet for evening meal. On one night they have a bbq night. The food has always been fresh and tasty. The restaurant is in a very pleasant and peaceful setting with no smoking in the restaurant but you can smoke outside.

Food was just average though ambiance is nice, they have some open space as well and staff is really welcoming and quick but food is not that great. Some of the dishes were not cooked properly, during breakfast the person cooking at the live counter didn't care to prepare for you unless you keep standing there, which was strange!!

Staying at the attached hotel we always eat here when we stay on several nights. The food and service has always been very good. However on this trip the flavour of the food and the spices used were of particular flavour, really enjoyed every meal and a place that I trust when eating fish dishes. A big thank you to the chef for going off menu one night and cooking up some Gajar Ka Hawla.

Tabla restaurant is part of Lagoa Azul hotel. We are here most evenings during our 2 weeks holiday. Main reasons we chose being service is top class, choice of menu and quality of food. It is in a lovely setting in the hotel gardens raised up to give views all around. WiFi is good as our 2 teens like to keep in touch with their friends. If staying in the hotel or anywhere in Arpora we would recommend having a meal here.
