Garoupinha Winebar - Angra do Heroísmo

This is an excellent spot for an evening! Great wine selection. Wonderful food! We had a starter of melted local cheese with honey and walnuts and a little brown sugar served with soft bread and crunchy thin bread. The shrimp with garlic, ginger, and honey was amazing and we ordered a second order of it after finishing the first!! Just recently opened and the atmosphere is great! Sometimes they have a guitar player but the music played through the sound system was awesome: . Go!

We heard about this wine bar so gave it a try. Very nicely furnished, with an adult atmosphere. Much different than the frequent street bars making it a great place to enjoy wine and conversation. They have a few nice wines to try and a large selection of wines by the bottle and a small plate menu. We tried the Leak dish...very tasty! The reason for only 4 star is that there is really no description of the wines and the evening we were there the person behind the counter didn’t know much about the wines. But we would go back and try again!

Came here with my family on January 2nd/3rd and they didn’t have many ingredients because of the New Year’s parties but they gave us a few options that were amazing! We got pretty full and pretty satisfied! Food is delicious and the environment is great! They have wines for everyone’s wallet and taste. Highly recommend it

My husband and I were wandering Angra by foot. We happen to walk by this establishment during our walk. We decided to try it that evening. What a delightful experience. I’m sorry to say I don’t recall the name of our server/owner but she was wonderful. Very knowledgeable from the local Portuguese wines to the food and just all around a great conversationalist. The wine bar itself is beautifully done with such great care to details. The mural on the wall telling the story of the wine bar name is great. Thank you for an awesome last night in Terceira. You made it wonderful!

Very nice and chilled. great eating and wein. not the cheapest place in the city to miles, but it's still worth a visit.
