Bidrage med feedbackWe went for a family dinner and despite our personal waiter daniel, was very attentive, charming and knowledgeable, the manager was brusk and dismissed for our group. eating was delicious, but the experience stained some of the dirty look. pity, as otherwise we would. return and recommend, friends who travel in the region.
Lovely décor and atmosphere and although very little English is spoken the person taking our order who we guess was the owner took a great deal of time to understand that we did not eat meat or fish. On the set lunch menu there was...an option for our dietary requirements and we enjoyed a fabulous three course lunch which was great value for money. Each time the jug of water was empty it was refilled and the same with the fresh bread. We found the restaurant in the morning and called in to make the booking glad we did as it was very busy. We were the last to leave and although he was cashing up the till at no time did we feel under pressure to vacate our table. The whole experience was wonderful
We arrived in Angers very hot hungry on bicycles, with heavy packs, to discover it was market day being the first Sunday of the month. One of the stall holders recommended Ose (which the website said was closed as it was a Sunday and...discovered they open only on market Sundays. We were lucky to get the last table outside enjoyed a truly delicious, simple, healthy meal which was exquisitely cooked presented. Set menu of gazpacho with salt tobasco, followed by an assiette of marinated tuna, flan/mousse de courgette, new potatoes cooked with duck fat (fantastic! a salade De quinoa mozzarella with a raspberry vinaigrette petit legumes. Quinoa has never tasted so good honestly. Dessert was cheesecake a la framboise fruit salad with sirop of Rose ginger. The best value of €26 per head ever! Which also included delicious espresso coffee in Little ceramic cups. Charming hosts who couldn’t do enough to be helpful we drank 6 jugs of water after cycling so far in the extreme heat. Highly recommend very special meal. Compliments to the chef du maison.
Easily the best restaurant we have visited in Angers, just down the road from the Tourist office, and one of the few that specialises in local organic produce and offers a proper vegetarian menu. As with all popular restaurants in the city, Osé quickly filled...up soon after opening time so it was as well we booked ahead. It 's a small place that only opens Thursdays and Fridays for dinner (though all week for lunch). A limited, ever-changing menu of beautifully prepared and creative dishes at a reasonable price, so we had starter, mains and dessert, along with a complimentary 'amuse bouche ' whilst waiting for our starter. The bill for two came to €63, which included 4 glasses of wine, so not cheap eats, but worth every Euro! The owner speaks little English, but the word végétarien is all you need to say – it brings a smile to his face!
Great option for vegetarians! Traditional 3-course French menu but done in a farm-to-table eco-conscious way. Two or three choices for each course, changes daily, wide selection of wines. I had zucchini gazpacho, summer vegetable risotto and macerated berries. Reservations recommended as the place is small and popular.
