Haiti - ANGERA

Six of us wanted to sit down to have an aperitif. We entered the half empty terrace of the Haiti Bar and moved three small tables so as to sit together. Out of knowhere appeared a very rude old woman who took one table out of my hands saying that two were enough. The tables were very small . Having been treated so inappropriately we moved to another bar. There is no way we ware prepared to give money to such rude people who have no place in the service industry.

This bar has a great setting next to the lake. The service was pretty quick. However we were somewhat upset by how we were treated differently to the Italian tourists who were at the bar at the same time. We were given a small glass of crisps with our beers. On the table next to us, their snacks consisted of crisps, and a small selection of cheese and meats. I was so shocked that I turned round and grabbed a photo of their feast .I felt like I had got into a time machine and returned to the 1970s. Avoid at all costs.

The Haiti cocktail is lovely, not really sure what’s in but it kicked a punch. It’s next to the road so it can be noisy but also good for people watching

Very nice bar/self service even if the super friendly and hyperactive owner served at the flat tables and sandwiches at the speed of light! . located a few steps from the lake with magnificent view! very cheap but nice

Angera nice place .the bar is in front of the lake under a tree-lined avenue . with this heat is ideal. the panoramic is not missing. discreet the bar service.
