La Rocaille - Anduze

The set menu for 9 euros is great value: loads of fresh salad to start, followed by some decent choices of main. I had omelette and chips. Then a dessert. The apple tart was good. Always busy at lunchtime!

Amazing value for money (13,90 per person for the full menu at today's prices). Friendly, very French experience (keep your cutlery for example). Big meal for the price.

The place is nicely located, away from the traffic. But the food is extremely basic, the waiting time is quite long and you'll have to dress the table yourself. The concept is more cantine than restaurant.

Simple but nice, the menu is very querky, you can have 3 course for 11.90 or 7 course for 13.90, yes 7 courses, OK they're not huge but very decent, all pretty good quality and you won't leave hungry. There is à la carte as well if you want to choose a more standard dish, my son ate magret de canard and it was good. Very popular with the locals. If you're on a budget or just a bit carefull it's great.

Great down to earth local food and great value for money.
