I'm not sure what Claude Annie B is referring to in their comment, as it is always Momo who serves and Loredana who is in the kitchen. They must be confusing it with another restaurant with a similar name, but it's definitely not Ancienne Gare. The date of March 16th doesn't make sense either, as the owners of the restaurant have always been the same.
We made a reservation for March 16th and were greeted by a friendly waitress. However, while we were ignored throughout our entire visit, another couple known to the restaurant officials was warmly welcomed. We had to wait to place our order, while other tables were attended to promptly. The appetizers we received were lackluster compared to other guests' dishes. Our main courses were also disappointing, with small portions and poorly cooked pasta. Our neighbors at the table even expressed dissatisfaction with their meal. Overall, the restaurant did not live up to Italian hospitality standards and we will not be returning. Despite being recommended by Italian contacts, we will be dining at Café du Vieux in the future, where we have never been disappointed.
Very nice restaurant, without pretention, family atmosphere. We eat simple but well prepared kitchen with quality products. The wine menu is rich and offers only excellent products. We strongly advise you!
We were not even given the chance to enter the restaurant! It was 1:00 and the last seating is at 3:00. There were two of us and they refused to let us in!!!
We were in a couple and were reserved for this 16th of March. Correct reception by waitress and waitress. between times other people have arrived, known to the restaurant officials, an old gentleman and a lady. these were received with great friendliness. We were completely ignored from beginning to end: no hello, no eyes, nothing, no thanks or goodbye when we left. we waited and asked for order, while the other tables were either served or waiting. The restaurant was far from complete. also difference for aperitif accompaniment, for us: 3 mini cold balls, an undefined mini ratatouille. for other people, tomato bruschetta? Spikes too cooked, too seasoned, pasta from the sticky house. green salad with a quarter tomato, a piece of onion. our table neighbors were sorry for their salmon more or less imposed by the boss. tiny darna, a salad leaf; a piece of tomato, bearish with an account of home drops? and fries. this restaurant is far from answering Italian hospitality, unless it is accustomed. But it takes a first time, and we're not coming back. this restaurant had been recommended by the Italian knowledge to anderlues. Now we're going to the old coffee, or we've never been disappointed.
