Umami Burger - Anaheim

Place was out of operation. Not sure why I could make a reservation. At least the Packviertel had some options nearby.

After booking and driving to the restaurant, I found it displayed from the store with for leasing characters in the windows.

You no longer honor open table reservations. No points will be awarded. Since there is new property, the menu has changed and my favorites have disappeared. I don't like the changes that the new owner made, and the food is not as good as before.

We went here before the AHS home game at 5:00 on Friday. There is absolutely no parking! There were very few customers in the restaurant. I think our server must have been new because it was scattered. He was nice. It was a happy hour so the food was a really reasonable price, but the drinks, not so much. They were from the $5 beers that were on the Happy Hour menu, so a glass of 805 cost $11! and a small vodka soda also cost $11. First, the server enters my drink incorrectly and its system has loaded me separately for vodka $11) and soda $3). What? For two of us, our food costs only $24, but our drinks we both had 2) cost us near $60? What the hell? Overall, the burgers were really good and the frits too, but their drinks are too expensive. I would recommend Umami Burger only with the warning cave of overpriced/unavailable drinks.

Poor service. Standoffish servers. Ok meal. Limited alcohol options. Fact that it was empty on a Saturday night should have said everything but we thought we’d give it a try because they have many options for food.
