Bidrage med feedbackOn a cozy corner in Jordaan, you'll find tapas as if you walked into Spain. That is, minus the sun. Dos has housed many a fun night from law school graduation (not mine) to a reunion with my sister visiting from Chicago. Duendes has another location nearby, but this one has my heart. There is plenty of seating for a restaurant in this neighborhood, and they serve all the classics: patatas bravas, pimientos de padron, pan con tomate, calamari, gambas, and least you forget: sangria.
Popular delicious Spanish restaurant. I would recommend reservations (definitely for weekend dinners). It can be a bit loud but mostly in a fun way. I agree with the reviews mentioning the sangria it tasted like one of my favorite places in Spain. So good! The food was so good. I want to go back to try more dishes since we couldn't order everything we wanted. The grilled thin cut ribeye was so good. Tender and spicy! The shrimp with garlic were so garlicky and delicious. And the garlic cloves in the hot olive oil in the dish are a treat! Service was good. The guys were all friendly and hustled. I will definitely be back!
I went here with a friend on a quiet weeknight for a glass of wine and some tapas and was super happy with the service and the sardines yum! The server was a really friendly and helpful guy and I'd go back just for that. The wine I chose just didn't taste right and the server was very accommodating. The second wine was ok so I'll have to keep trying, I guess because I'm definitely going back! Price wise, well, I'll be sticking to after dinner drinks and maybe the occasional sardine as it gets pretty pricey for me to have even a snack here.
The greatest tapas in Amsterdam (from what I e fathered), good prices, cute ambiance... It's all you could ever want. The shrimp are amazing, and the squid in garlic (not the fried, haven't tried that) are also life-changing. I very much enjoyed the tomato-anchovy toast, and overall: this place is good. At night it's mostly candlelit, and has as otherworldly ambiance. 5/5.
A colleague of mine recommended Dos for dinner. This tapas bar is located in the Jordaan area, which is nice since it's kind of tucked away in a quiet residential area. We started out with the a liter of sangria, chorizo Iberico mixed salad which were all good. But the highlight of our dinner was the paella with chorizo, chicken, fish, calamari, and prawns. The paella was really flavorful with fresh ingredients the best I've had, although I've never been to Spain. If you order the paella, there's a minimum of 2 ppl per order 14.50 euros pp. Expect to wait 30mins plus for the chef to prepare the paella.
