Bidrage med feedbackWhenever I visit Amsterdam, I always make sure to stop by this restaurant to indulge in their delicious vegan stroopwafels. I usually purchase around 10 packages at a time because I can't find them anywhere in the UK. I highly recommend stocking up on as many as you can fit in your suitcase – you won't regret it!
This is a fantastic shop located in Amsterdam Central Station that caters to all your vegan, vegetarian, and alternative lifestyle needs. They offer a variety of products such as incense, oils, soaps, and some food items. The store also carries unique alternative remedies that are not easily found elsewhere in Amsterdam.
Located in the train station, this small convenience store is easy to spot as soon as you step off your train. It offers a selection of basic items perfect for a quick breakfast. While most of the pastries and rolls are in Dutch, the staff were helpful in identifying which options were vegan-friendly. Although disappointed to find that the Seitan and Tempeh rolls contained butter, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Macaroon and other pastries we tried. The store also offers chocolate, stroopwafels, and a variety of other snacks. They even have larger portion sizes available.
Very comfortable and has nice long opening hours. I really appreciate that many of the vegan articles are clearly identified as such. It is not somewhere a complete meal for a train ride, but has a good choice of biscuits, nuts, dried fruits, raw chocolates and drinks, as well as cosmetics, supplements and toiletries. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This store is one of the few places in Central Station where you can get some decent vegan food on the go. Other options are Starbucks coffee, falafel from the shoarma place, Smullers french fries, Julia's whole wheat penne pasta without cheese, and some items from HEMA and AH to go) The Billy's Farm cookies are nice and from the pastry section the coconut-macaroon =kokosmakroon), wakame rolls and samosa are vegan. Beware that the seitan and tempeh rolls are not vegan because they contain butter =roomboter). The store also carries quite a few vegan staples such as nutritional yeast, nuts, chia, dried fruit etc. For meat analogues and vegan dairy you are better off in a supermarket or bigger health food store in the city center.
