Bidrage med feedbackI doubt I would have found Gallo Perdido if it wasn 't for a local food tour. It 's most definitely a local venue off the beaten path. The actual venue is not visible form the main street. Make sure to look for the Baby Blue buildings and the GALLO PERDIDO sign. Walk through the gates, then through the corridor that says TACOS TACOS and you have arrived! Open space and outdoor seating; feels more like a shack at the beach. There were a couple of TV 's playing a fútbol game in the main area by the bar. We were seated on a much larger bench since there were so many of us. The restrooms were like a modified outhouse...very interesting, but they work fine. The little food truck is responsible for your culinary delights and the a makeshift bar station for your delectable adult beverages. We came here for lunch and it was empty, I think they may have just opened. Apparently Gallo Perdido is known for the way they do the Tacos, more specifically the fish Tacos. Salsa flight 5/5 We started off with an amazing Salsa flight. All of it was made right there. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious! Some of the Salsas had a good amount of heat to it...testing some of or spice tolerances. A nice little appetite warmer until we were presented with our tacos. #TacoFlight 5/5: LA BUFFADORA 5/5 This is a Marlin Taco, apparently it was very unusual for Mexico. It 's prepped differently. I 'm not so sure what that meant...it was delish! Soft, tender, moist and full of flavor. EL SURFO 5/5 Dorado (aka Mahi Mahi) marinated in special sauce. The Baja way fish taco. Brilliant! TRADITO FRESCO 5/5 I believe this was Yellowtail with olive oil Lemon Zest ! From my understanding Tradito style...usually means raw. This was akin to a Yellowtail Carpaccio. Gallo Perdido is definitely on my list of local spots to re visit! BOOKMARKED!!
