A 90-minute drive from Kaiserslautern, Snowhall is a year-round ski area in Amnéville, near Metz. Snowhall is relatively cheap and includes a tubing track, a short track for lessons / beginners and a long track for all others. We went there in July and had no waiting for the mechanical lifts.

Great place to learn to ski to his child, small flat on the catering one hour to wait for hamburger who arrived cold, while there was no one. But a manager offered us desserts.
