Jack Astor's - St Catharines - Amherst

Thought this would be a good place to have dinner during our stay in St. Catherine’s but boy was I wrong. My wife and I each started with the fishbowl Long Island and although it was big, it tasted like pop and sour mix. No taste of alcohol at all. The food was overpriced for what you received. My wife ordered the chicken tenders and fries and they were barely mediocre. For 18.99 the chicken tenders looked very small. I believe there were 6. The fries were the better part of this dish. Definitely seemed frozen and not fresh. I ordered the quesadilla sandwich which was on there special menu. I was shocked when I received it because it looked nothing like the picture. It was about the size of two sliders! Very disappointing! Was not very good tasting either. I believe the price for it was around 22.00 so for that price I expected there to be more food. I felt ripped off! The service was ok. Not great but not bad. With all that being said, we would definitely not ever come back here. Don’t waste your money!

Good food. Too many crispy onions geez. Waitress was at times tardy. Had to repeatedly ask for drinks etc. bill was overcharged.

Wonderful service even though it was only one waitress at the time. She sat us, took the orders and came to sing happy birthday at the end

Kelly waitress was excellent , food was great tasting

We had a lovely Valentines Dinner. The Cajun Salmon was excellent as was the Sesame Chicken Rice Bowl. Service was good and we enjoyed an early casual date nite.
