Anchor (the Original Buffalo Wing)

I have always struggled to find truly spicy wings that make me break a sweat, but also have flavor. Some places have sauces that are overly hot with no taste. Let me tell you about Anchor Bar's Suicide Wings: They are just spicy enough to grab your attention, delicious with fruity and garlic notes, saucy enough to be messy in a good way, and the perfect combination of crispy and meaty. In short: the best ever! When you add in the excellent service, great bar, and fantastic Friday night karaoke that appeals to all types of people, from families to party animals, it's hard to find a better Friday night out.

My wife and I decided to try out the Anchor Bar for her birthday lunch after hearing their radio ad multiple times. We had a great experience at the Amherst location. Our server, Deborah, was fantastic and the food was delicious. From the Italian wedding soup and chicken Caesar wrap to the turkey club and fries with gravy, everything was excellent. Deborah even surprised us with a piece of peanut butter pie for my wife's birthday dessert. Overall, the food and staff were top-notch. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The wings with the beef on the wreck were fantastic. The drink prices are reasonable and there is a good variety. The live jazz on Tuesdays is excellent. I highly recommend checking out the jazz on Tuesdays at this restaurant.

Awesome service. A special shoutout to Jody, who managed our party of 20 and kept ALL of our individual bills straight, even as we moved around the table to visit with one another. Great place!

Brought my cousins from California there last night! They loved it! Thank you for letting us stay late and enjoy wings and pizza! Just had to have them get the real chicken wings from the Anchor Bar! Very friendly staff!
