The building may look inconvenient, but do not let it be feared. after the advice of some other diners we simply let ourselves make the owner/Koch/Waiter what he wanted to do. it was delicious: wonderful taste combinations, beautiful presentation and well distributed (not too much, but definitiw enough). we're coming back!

Do not worry when they come and see them not a worker for 5 minutes of the owners is likely to cook and will talk to them when eating comes. the owner is also host, waiter, bartender and cook. if they understand and patient, they are rewarded with a delicious and authentic meal for a very reasonable price. we were in less than an hour on a Sunday night. If you ask for water, you can get water for $1.50

Really fantastic experience here. eating is high quality and unique. the restaurant is eclectic and beautiful inside and outside. there was only one man who works, and both my partner and my children had good interactions with him.

The owner is also the waiter, chef and barkeeper. he made us some delicious root beer boots, an amazing dinner and made this day, German chocolate cake. the best place in my eyes.

Slow service because the owner is the server, bartender, and chef running a solo operation. Once your food does come though, it’s phenomenal. Well worth the wait for such great flavors. Plus the atmosphere is really vibrant and the owner is super nice.My suggestion is call ahead to order your food to alleviate the wait time, but this is a must try in Ames.
