We were here in late September and at times there was only us or us and 1 or two other couples. Perhaps this explains the repetition. Fruit flies were a real bother in the dining room. The price was good and so was the meal for one night but then ......

Amazing views, large swimming pool, private beach, great food and service what else do you need to make it an unforgettable holiday?! We are family of four who have spent two summer holidays here and we are already planning our return in 2020. Special thanks to Orazio who took care of us at the beach and mostly for cooking great lunches for us! You are amazing!!! Thanks to Franco Piera, for taking care of us at the breakfast and dinner, and to Gennaro (manager) who made us feel like home and really special. My only wish and suggestion would be for the restaurant to include a choice of typical Calabrian cuisine in the future (especially for in house guests).

Stayed at this masseria see other review), which is a nice place to stay. However do not go for dinner. We might have been unfortunate, because so many people love the restaurant. However when we had dinner here it was not good at all. Let me first start with the setting, at is it is a big masseria the restaurant is also massive, it looks luxuries with a nice view. As it was still low season we were with the two of us and 4 other guests. However the somehow luxurious feeling was very fast downgraded. First by the staff wo were totally not interested or hospitable, their main goal seemed to deliver the food as fast as possible and go home. Food was not tasteful at all, vegetables from the freezer, pasta without any taste. At the end of our speedy diner other Italian) guests arrived, they were warmly welcomed and got food which definitively looked much better compared to our meal. So maybe in high season dinner is better, however if you want to deliver high class service you should serve a perfect dinner also when there are hardly any guests. Would not go back.
