El Guero - Amatitán

I'm in the queue 1 1/2 later and I haven't even got a drink yet. I could have gotten it somewhere else at that point. I don't care if it's good or not that I was skipped in...line and I'm waiting to drink a drink, let alone eat. No one helps them to guide and they are busy to walk around trying to find where to even get ur food. where you get urdrinks at this place, I can't even explain how bad my experience was.

Last stop during a Tequila Tour and it was so good. You have to stop and grab a drink. Listen to live music. The atmosphere is great. I will definitely come back one day just to drink and hang out.

If your visiting tequila, you're got to stop and visit this road side bar. We hired a taxi driver in Guadalajara for the day and he recommended we stop here on the way home, so glad we did. You pick out the size pottery mug...you want, carefull they are all huge, thanthe fun begins, fresh squeezed limes , orange and grapefruit juices along with salt than tequila and coke or squirt. So fun to watch him make, so fun to drink. Huge place , seating for over 200. Fun fun fun , don't miss it !

Luckily, our stop at El Güero came with our tour of Herradura, so if ever in Amatitán, check out both Cantaritos El Güero and Herradura! We were astounded by the speed in which our cantaritos were made, specially how fast lemons and limes can be...squeezed BY HAND! That being said, the drink is so delicious, it's mix of lemons, limes, a mystery salt of some sort (secret ingredient, I guess and Squirt (a soda beverage like Sprite mixed with grapefruit juice). Evidently, Cantaritos El Güero is famous for being the start of the 4-hour drive to the beaches (Puerto Vallarta and surrounding beaches). I, for one, wouldn't ever risk drinking and driving, especially in a foreign country, but luckily we had a ride! Enjoy your next cantaritos, and order the big one and save the pot for a vacation momento!!
