Bidrage med feedbackThis is my third or fourth visit to Mercado del Carmen. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was slammed. I had to wait about 10 minutes in line for them to take my order and the food came really slowly (my friends had received their food from other stands and almost finished eating before I got mine). I paid $120 pesos for the worst falafel I've ever eaten and about 5 from the freezer bag french fries. The falafel itself was not recognizable as a falafel. It was some kind of overfried ball that had millet or something in it. There was no recognizable ground garbanzo bean, there were no recognizable herbs or anything in the falafel balls themselves. I do not know what they were, but they were hard, almost break your teeth balls of fried tastelessness. It was accompanied by sliced tomato, iceberg lettuce and cucumber -- NO SAUCE, no tahini, no yogurt sauce, nothing. I will never eat at this stand again and don't recommend that you do either.
