Spicewood Restaurant Bar - Alpine

I love this place so much! We have made it a tradition to stop for dinner before we go to Terlingua. I had the salmon and it was INCREDIBLE! It was recommended by a friend and they were right. My husband had the Burger and we had the Nachos as an appetizer. Half the order is PLENTY. The entire order of the nachos is a literal baking sheet of Nachos. Great food, great service and price for the jewel it is.

Great place. A little expensive, but if you want a Tenderloin steak that melts in your mouth, it's worth it. The New York Strip is another great option. The loaded baked potato is the best compliment for all steaks. The nachos are excellent and must add the smoked brisket to fully appreciate this appetizer. For dessert, the lemon blueberry crumb cake cannot be beaten. You have a great wine map and the view is fantastic. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed the real experience. Another great dinner at SQC7. The Brisket nachos are amazing and everyone we bring is right. Then the number one for your main course must be the fillet. It comes on a cast iron skill and a bed of beautified onions and a plate of melting garlic butter as a cover. I like the side of the frits that come on the outside crispy with a soft center and slightly salted. All desert options are fantastic, but I went with the Crème brulée cheesecake, which is as delicious as it sounds. Enjoy everything you get and enjoy the view from the enclosed terrace area.

If you are looking for a restaurant with beautiful views of Twin Peaks while enjoying your lunch or dinner, the Spicewoods is the best place to go. You will definitely enjoy the good food and the relaxing place.

Enjoyed dining in had only picked up take out before. Staff were all very friendly; our server Ariel was attentive but not overly so. Seared salmon w/capers was quite good and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Wine menu was a bit pedestrian, but adequate.
