Subway - Almonte

I was reluctant to visit here based on the previous reviews, but I actually had a good experience. The food and service was good.

I was truly surprised at the quality of the food and the accuracy of my order from this Subway location. Most have always been wrongfully delivered. But the got it right! The salad was surprisingly good and filling and had a good amount of meat. The sun was good as well. Only thing is I didn’t like how they ripped the cheese. Maybe a shredded cheese setup would be better for the salads or it may just be me. Over all one of the best Subway deliveries. In my top 25. Only thing was that the cookies were a little stale. They were not good at all. I threw both away after a few bites.

Unfortunately, that was the last time I went to this restaurant. I noticed the lettuce was brown and mentioned it to the server. She said ok . That to me is unacceptable because she didn 't look surprised, didn 't offer excuses, didn 't even change it for fresher one. She didn 't even look! So it tells me she doesn 't care. Because of that, I will not come back. I reiterated to her before I leave that she should do something with the lettuce. She said, I 'll change, ok.Thats just a lack of care and empathy. I was a weekly customer. Not anymore.

Terrible service. We only ordered three subs. The girl taking the orders asked twice if we wanted the first one toasted, each time we said no. Whilst we ordered the second and third subs, she toasted it anyway. When we said it was not supposed to be toasted, she said ‘I asked you twice’, we replied, ‘and we said NO twice’, so she just rolled her eyes and muttered to herself.The food was soggy and stale.We will never go there again. The attitude of the family working behind the counter was that customers are a nuisance, and clearly no pride whatsoever in the food they served.

This Subway location has its strengths, there are certainly areas for improvement. It might be worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for a quick sandwich, but keep in mind the mixed reviews.
