Pizzeria Italica - Almería

Ok , firstly....I do not speak any Spanish.....my problem when in Spain I know , but nevertheless I got zero help from anyone the staff when trying to order.....the menu was only in Spanish , so not understanding a word I plummed for a sure bet safe option when I recognised ' Margarita '.....was very dissapointed.....was just a plate of melted cheese on a rather soggy base. ...way way too much cheese......was nothing more than a cheese on toast at home really. Sorry to moan...but that 's how I found it. Won 't be going back.

Some unplanned experiences are the most memorable and quite simply this was one of them. Out for a stroll we stopped by Pizza Italica to peruse the restaurant menu as one does. The varied menu attractive prices caught our attention so we decided to pop in. The restaurant was busy and clearly the kitchen front of house staff were working flat out but this didn't detract from the prompt service that we received. The food being served around us was exceptional, something that we rarely see in the UK. Well presented generous portions of well cooked food and salads were hitting the tables all around us. When our burgers arrived we were absolutely gobsmacked, we had ordered one chicken one beef, both were like towers with two burgers, a proper large round of beef tomato, cheese, a generous portion of lettuce a fried egg sandwiched in a large burger bap. The presentation was outstanding and they tasted lovely served with mustard mayo. Quite simply the best burgers that we've had. 2 beers, 2 burgers and a large portion of fries came to €17 £15), amazing value for such a great meal, no wonder the restaurant was filled with locals. Great service, great food, spotlessly clean, highly recommended a well deserved 5 star review.

Not only great value but excellent food. The thing that made me go there was that it was packed with Spanish people on Saturday and Sunday. They were even willing to wait for a table.

Una sorpresa este sitio. Probamos las pizzas y estaban riquísimas, en especial tenían opción sin gluten (no solo de pizzas), y me ganaron con la posibilidad de hacer la pizza al gusto e incluso mitad de una cosa y mitad de otra. La chica que nos atendió super agradable y simpática y el servicio rapidísimo. Volveremos!!

Tuvimos una camarera muy educada y amabilidísima que nos trató muy bien. Volveremos. Por ella y por la excelente relación precio-calidad
