Damascus - Allentown

Excellent food... go for years... have many guests, not a disappointed - always raved! Why? Large, original, homemade food, with absolutely countless first-class service. They bend back to help.

We drove through Allentown and were surprised to find a highly rated Syrian restaurant. Look for the address as the restaurant sign was hard to find. Parking is neighborhood parking. The food was excellent. We had the lamb cabob and humus that were excellent. The service was friendly, the portions large, and the price appropriate. The place is a little small, so come early if possible.

I've been to Damascus before. There is no shortage of good Mid East cuisine in the Allentown area Aci Halal just below 2. street a few blocks from Damascus, Aladdin to east on Tilghman Street and Sahara in Wescoesville some to name. It is a embarrassment of the rich, each with their own specialties, each with their own personality. They also reflect to a certain extent their own geographical origin, whether Syria, Lebanon, Turkey or elsewhere on the fertile continent.

The best Mediterranean food we ever had! Wonderful staff and owner. Nice food.

I visited this restaurant for the 1st time while traveling in the area and was pleasantly surprised as everyone was very friendly and the service was above my expectations. The food was definitely delicious and salad was fresh. If you are looking for a creative option to add to the mix, this one will not disappoint! I tried a shrimp dish, which was grilled to perfection (not rubbery at all). Pita bread was a great filler as well. I plan to visit again when I am in the area. Parking may be a little bit of a challenge otherwise I loved this place.
