I had a disappointing experience, and when I reached out, the only response I received was to contact customer service. It seems that Pei Wei has grown so large that they no longer prioritize customer satisfaction.
This was my first experience at Pei Wei, and I was really looking forward to it because they offer a variety of gluten-free options on their menu. The restaurant itself was lovely and...
I had a delicious meal at the restaurant! I opted for the Family Sharing meal, which took a bit of time to prepare, but I ended up meeting some fantastic people during the wait. The food was definitely worth it! I really enjoyed the platter that included cauliflower rice, Mongolian beef, noodles, special chicken, and donuts—there was something for everyone to enjoy. The fortune cookies were a bit unusual; it seems Pei Wei has crafted a unique marketing campaign involving them. Be sure to check out the pictures! A little insider tip: if you order takeout inside the restaurant, they offer free drinks.
We really enjoy dining at Pei Wei. The food is affordable, high quality, and served quickly. In fact, my only issue is that it’s too quick when it comes to ordering appetizers to enjoy before the main course. The staff seems unable to pause the main meal from being served at the same time as the appetizers. Now, we follow their recommendation and order the edamame and drinks first. Once those arrive, I go back to order the main dishes. Apparently, this is the only way to fully enjoy the meal. I understand that most of the counter staff are young high school students, which contributes to the issue.
