Elkes Market Cafe - Allen

Stopped by when we were in the area after a friend recommended it. Got some sandwiches to go (they were delicious! as well as a loaf of bread and a container of soup for later. We'll definitely be back!

Elke's catered a small family luncheon following our daughter's wedding. We chose the chipotle pork tenderloin with ginger habanero sauce, cilantro rice, fiesta corn casserole and green salad with cilantro ranch dressing. The food was very good with generous portions. Compliments all the way around!

UPDATE Jul 2020. Yes, still open for inside dining during the virus crises. Lots of precautions taken to prevent virus spread, see new photos. Delicious lunch; split one sandwich and small cup of soup. Well done.EARLIER IN 2020 OooRah! We came for the desert and stayed for lunch, see photos. They are open again for dinning in, yea. Lots of space btw tables. Staff is all masked up, sanitizer readily available at front door, one way in/out. They are doing it right during Wuhan virus crises. And the food is still great. Let's get back in there.

Love this place! The cafe itself is pretty casual and what I would expect from a cafe. However, the food is delicious! I always order the Elke’s Nutty Creation sandwich and it’s the perfect mix of sweet and savory with a little kick. I don’t live very close by, but absolutely worth the drive.

As always, Elke's was entirely satisfying. Great food and reasonably priced, pleasant atmosphere. I happily recommend Elke's to everyone.
