Casanova - Alicante

Looks beautiful but thats its only positive! Terrible service, food orders wrong, booked for a Saturday for live music from 9pm hadn't stated when we walked out at 9.45. Just avoid this place!

Avoid if you're a tourist as they will overcharge. We had a lovely meal completely spoiled when the bill arrived. We were charged 4 euros extra on the wine, 12 euros for a bowl of tomatoes more than the cost of the pizza and a 3 euro terrace tax? The waitress also asked for a tip and tried to whisk away the bill so we couldn't read it. Awful treatment

We were considering having dinner here anyway as a local reccomended it to us as a romantic setting so we strolled past and saw the BEAUTIFUL and quirky decor and thought our luck was in. Quite often we initially ask if we can just have a drink so we can get a ‘vibe check’ for the service and experience (also nosily look at other people’s food) and the server said yes although she seemed slightly annoyed that we weren’t eating. (I get it though) We sat outside and weren’t given a menu but just asked what we wanted we ordered two Aperol spritz (when in Rome) and sat down outside. The spritz didn’t really seem to contain much prosecco it honestly just tasted like Aperol and soda, but fine we were enjoying the surroundings. While we sipped, I took a look on Trip Advisor and I’m glad I did, as all the reviews from this year seemed quite bad so we thought maybe we wouldn’t chance it. We were the only people at the restaurant, but I COULD NOT get any of the 3 servers who were 8 feet away trying to coax people inside to acknowledge me when we wanted to pay. I was waving, saying excuse me nothing. At one point, one of the women looked me directly in the face and then just ignored me and turned away. Eventually I had to pretty much shout at the top of my lungs to ask for the bill. We were not brought a bill but instead the original server just looked annoyed and said “twenty euro. Also service is not included in that” I understand that many Brits and Europeans don’t always tip, but we were astonished to basically have a tip demanded of us for two very expensive drinks,especially when the service was so rude. I have also now seen others on here saying the same thing about the tip it’s really rude and offputting and they need to stop. I’m so glad we never progressed to dinner. PS: if anyone is interested, I still left a 2 euro tip

Comida italiana y elaborada. Trato cercano y exquisito. Música en directo que hace en conjunto que disfrutes más de tu cena. Preciosamente adornado.
