Bidrage med feedbackWe made a last-minute decision to eat out on Mothers ' Day because our steaks had not defrosted, and it was a bit too cool to use the grill. 38 Degrees has a new barbecue menu, and we all decided to try it. I ordered the brisket with spicy cole slaw and Tempura green beans. My friend and my son opted for two entrees; both had the brisket, one also had chicken and the other had ribs. Everything tasted quite good, but we all agreed that the brisket was excessively fatty. That was a disappointment. If I try the barbecue meal again, I 'll opt for the ribs, pulled pork, or chicken (not two or three because, even with one protein, it was a large dinner. Our server was very attentive and apologized when our meals took longer than usual to reach the table. I prefer the rest of the menu to the barbecue dishes (I 'm a grilled salmon fan, and theirs is very good), but won 't hesitate to try the barbecue meals again.
Pretty good place to grab a beer and food. A little stuffier than the Midwest pubs I'm used to. Loosen up a little!
Great selection of beers and terrific food to go with it. Delicious wings, great hamburgers, excellent fish tacos.
I was surprised we could get in with our party of 8 on graduation night. We will be back without the group too. Liked that they took reservations so we could sit down when we walked in the door.
I've never had a problem with the food at 38 Degrees. The menu is varied, the preparations creative, quality ingredients are used, and everything tastes delicious. My only problem with this restaurant is that it's way too noisy in the evening. Lunchtime is fine, but the combination of multiple TVs plus loud music plus people speaking way too loud just to be heard (and not always successful) means that I will only enjoy 38 Degrees on rare occasions. Usually at lunchtime. If only the seating area that's almost in a separate room from the bar could be kept quiet, that would enhance the experience immeasurably.
