Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful Asian fusion food! Loved the satay skewers and the Thai Red Curry changed the beef to chicken). The Chicken Pad Thai was also delicious! Kids eat free before 7pm which suited us as were ate early as our 2 are still young. They also got ice-cream included which went down well. If you plan on eating later it is worth booking. It is also possible to eat off the Sofias menu in this restaurant, they are technically the same restaurant but the whole table must eat off the same menu.
For some reason we left visiting this restaurant to our last night and wished we'd gone sooner. The food was absolutely delicious with lots of different dishes to choose from. Particularly good for Asian seafood dishes.
There is a good selection of Thai dishes on the menu and we had a large sharing platter for starters followed by a vegetarian yellow curry, 2 green curries and chicken satay. All were wonderful.
We have been to Funky Monkey before but the new menu has a much improved choice. The food is lovely, fresh and well presented. Couldn't fault the food or the excellent service.
At this time of year (August the place was heaving outside lots of children, some running around. There were only 2 tables inside, and the staff were at one time bringing out some empty tables to swell the crowd outside. However the food. Our waitress was a sweet young lady who sadly could not describe the dishes and clearly did not grasp our order. She was not Spanish, but possibly Eastern European. Stir fry is a doddle. Just sweat a few veg in a wok, add some sauce and serve. As can be seen from the photo menus, Unless stated all dishes come served with rice. As my dining companion does not like rice much, we asked that instead of rice we had chips. Well we got the chips as a side dish (3.50Euros but the stir fry had the cooked rice added to it, not served with . I appreciate that stir fries often have cooked rice stirred in at the end, but unless tther is just a huge pot of stir fry/rice mix, to which various meats can be added (surely not!! it would have been simple to leave the rice and serve the fried veg and meat naked with chips alongside. That did not happen and apart from the few strips of beef the meal was not eaten. My duck stir fry was not a duck stir fry, but a duck breast sliced and drizzled with Hoisin sauce, with the same rice/veg stir fry mix alongside. Not good for 15.95Euros. The starters were acceptable. We shall not return to this restaurant.
