Caro's Authentic Mexican And Caribbean Cuisine

What an awesome find. We're from San Antonio and have thus far been really disappointed with the Mexican food in Alexandria. It's not that it was all bad, just not what we were looking for. A taqueria with Jalisco style tacos. Barbacoa, Lengua, Tripas, Asada, homemade tortillas and Aguas Frescas, great chips salsa. We tried it all and it was all fantastic! Such attention to detail, made fresh to order, great service. The guy that helped me was awesome and really kind. He brought me chips and salsa even though I was ordering to go. They have a dog friendly patio and he even offered to bring water for my dog. I sat there eating chips and salsa with one of the best horchatas I have ever had. The tacos were great, the salsa was great. We will be back often. Not sure if they do breakfast but I hope so. I miss the breakfast tacos and huevos rancheros in San Antonio. Thanks to Caro's, we now have a new favorite restaurant in Alexandria. Gracias!

Absolutely amazing Mexican food! The two severs working were so so kind and helpful when it came to helping us decide what to order (it all sounded so good! The chips and salsa were the best I've ever had. Ever. Great guacamole too! I ended up getting tacos as did my friend, and we were both in food paradise when they came out. The portion was extremely generous and they were delicious! I wish we lived here and weren't just passing through- otherwise we would come here regularly!

I absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic. The staff is so friendly. Try the pork enchiladas, you won't be disappointed! Best Mexican food in Louisiana!

One of the best restaurants in Alex, definitely the best Caribbean/Mexican cuisine! Memphie and Carolina and their family are amazing. Great food, great people!
