Cafe Desoto - Alexandria

We had a fantastic time at Cafe DeSoto for lunch! The food was freshly prepared to order, and the roasted butternut squash was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and the prices were fair. Thank you for a wonderful meal and a lovely experience!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! At first, my map directed me to Tamp and Grind, but I soon realized that I needed to go around the corner. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. My only issue was that they lacked high chairs for children.

This is a lovely little cafe located in downtown Alexandria. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance reminds me of the cozy cafes I used to frequent in small towns, with a friendly and personable staff. The community clearly adores this place, as evidenced by the numerous to-go orders and customers who are on a first-name basis with the staff. They even have artwork for sale inside.

Gumbo was delicious. Very nice staff. Clean establishment. Try ?em!

Food was good, but service if you could call it that was astonishingly bad. There were only 3 two person groups being served and it took nearly an hour to get our food. The cook walked out mid order to smoke. When he finally returned, he didn'teven wash his hands He also very gruffly turned away half a dozen groups with no apology or explanation.
