La Rotonda Masnou - Alella

I come here a lot. The kitchen is open till late so a great place to watch the sunset and have dinner on the beach. Good music and friendly service.

This is the closest Chiringuito to where I live. It is easily one of the most attractive in Masnou. It should be the number one choice of all the Chiringuitos in the town but it’s not. Here’s why. Every year I go at least once hoping it’s going to be a better experience than the previous one. But each year it’s the same disappointment. What lets it down? The TERRIBLE service. Tonight is a perfect example. We arrive, put two tables together ourselves and then wait for someone to notice we’re there. Ten minutes later (no exaggeration) I ask for menus but am told “Sure, let me take your drinks order first.” Finally we’re getting somewhere. Does the waitress come straight back with the menus after taking the order? Nope. She forgets and wanders about for ages doing other stuff. And the whole evening carries on like this in a similar vein. There’s a change over of staff. At least the first one was friendly. The second one brings a level of surliness to go with her incompetence that makes it even more frustrating. The cup ironed arrive a good 20 mins after everything else. For dessert we get one strawberries and cream but I have to go to the bar to collect the other 15 minutes after the first has arrived. Not because it took that long to prepare but just because it had been sitting there. Even the guy doing the bar had a go at the waitress at this point. “¡Venga!” So it’s not the first time. And I’m sure it won’t be the last. C’mon owners of the Chiringuito, do something! You could be the best in Masnou. You would make double what you make now if you just paid a little more attention to the service. I’m probably not going to bother next year. Certainly not going again in 2018,

My Girlfriend and I were recommended to come to this beach bar. Only 100mts from the masnou train station, great food , excellent service from the staff and beach vibes playing all afternoon. Definitly coming back soon! 5*
