Cima D'agua - Alcobaca

We didn't go before the new owners took over as everyone said it was overpriced and under rated and you couldn't have a drink only. After hearing of new owners, we though we would try it, a few days before Christmas The location is fantastic, with views of the beautiful bay and sand dunes. However, that is all is has going for it The rest was A HUGE disappointment for the following reasons Food overpriced, poor quality, small portions and uncomfortable cheap plastic garden furniture. We paid €27 for 2 portions of pork advertised on the board outside for €7.50, but we were charged €12, and one small beer each. One piece of pork was OK, the other in edible and they should have known that by the fact we left it on our plates, but they asked no further questions, The salad consisted on 2 cut up lettuce leaves and 2 cherry tomatoes, quartered (I suspect to make it look more) THAT WAS IT! No cucumber, onion or anything else. Then we had 4 small potatoes each. We left hungry. Nothing has changed still a restaurant that we and all our friends will not use. And to top it all, when we asked for the receipt we were told the till wasn't working yet, and we got a torn scrap of paper, which I still have No tax receipt I think illegal on Portugal! STAY AWAY We will and we tell everyone we meet not to go there.

We were a group of four wanting a nice lunch. We achieved that with super location and view, great sangria, meal choices largely based on owner/ chef recommendations along with house wine. It was not cheap, but we felt it was OK value for money and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

This place is an absolutely joke!!! The servers are rude and the prices are way toooooo expensive and resiculous. And the owner is an absolute idiot, the way he treats and talks about his staff os disgusting! I was near by on holidays and was visiting this beach, passing by I decided to stop for a drink with my parents and my husband as the arquiterure of the building and location were very convidative! what a mistake! As soon as we arrive we went in and were greet by a rude member of staff that told us we will have to seat outside as we were not eating. half of the outside area was closed, also for people that want to eat as well... we end up seating in the corner and the weather was really unpleasant as it was very windy but we still decided to have 1 drink... once again what a mistake!! so we ordered 1 pint, 1 half pint and 2 expresses... the bill came up to 11.45€... what a chock when I went to pay... this people are settling costumers money!! not even in algarve in Vilamouta o paid so much for a **** coffee and a beer... not even in Luis Figo bar!!! Not even in London e a portuguese plase, where the coffee and beer are imported from Portugal I pay this much!!! this is absolutely ridiculous! Avoid this place the will empty your pockets very easily!!! If I could I would give 0 stars!!!

We just wanted to eat some fish and have a soup before. Once we have given our order, the manager brought us a big plate with shrimps, fish, sausage etc. and then he gave us a special drink with fruits to try. As we liked it, he filled up our glasses. We thought that he was giving us this as it was Monday and nobody else was in the restaurant. What a surprise when we got the bill. The most expensive place we had during our 4 weeks holiday!

Not only it sits in the best location in S. Martinho do Porto, the service from the staff and the food is excellent!
