Bidrage med feedbackIt's just a little overpriced. Perhaps lack of value is a better word. If the entire experience was cared for, for example, the trash can infront of door is a huge turn off. More menus, perhaps one on the wall on a lanyard. Many of the tables there were wobbly, many of the tables were to close to the wall, come on the chairs need room lol..granted that could have been a employee not moving the table back after cleaning. The music was too loud, made conversations difficult, pay for no commercials lol, 80% of the time, it was blah blah sale blah blah blah drove our table nuts.
I love the converted Casita building. I've been following this restaurant on Yale and Lead for many years. Regardless of the situation, I always had quality meals here. The food is always well seasoned and delicious. The walk-up style counter means that your interaction with the server is usually limited, but that does not stop them from being accommodating and getting your food quickly. The terrace has two tables on the west side and one near the north entrance. The northern entrance is wheelchair accessible. The menu has a vegetarian friendly way to be vegan. You have a rotating offer of lemonades. It's a great place to eat and I hope it lasts for many more years because I don't think I'll ever find out how to make their beef as they can.
As a Cuban I always tend to have high standards as my Abuela puts the bar so high! The Guava Tree has a really sweet authentic Cuban vibe! We ordered the sampler plate for the appetizer. Absolutely loved everything and the sauces! Tostones we are a little dry and unsalted, but the sauces made them all right. The Cubano was good! Cuban bread was a little stale, but overall the sandwich was very big for the price. The Guava/Cream cheese filled pastolito is served warm and was excellent!
This place is not open. I'm literally in the parking lot. I stopped them because Guy Fieri hypt it on the Food Network. So I wanted to try it since I visited my best friend (Colorado) and her parent family here in Albuquerque.
Yuuummm!!! Guava Tree came highly recommended by a number of friends so I had to try it! Their sandwiches are hot, fresh, and delicious. I even ordered to go to have it again later that day. Add the yucca fries to your sandwich, although without you still have plenty of food! Great way to support local and get amazing food too!
