Flix Brewhouse - Albuquerque

The staff is friendly and attentive, the seats are fairly comfortable, the beer is cold, and the food's alright. The experience here really depends on who you're sitting next to. I've sat between serious moviegoers who order their dinner before the movie and then quietly sit still once the movie starts. Tonight, though, I sat beside a couple who kept pressing the illuminating button to order beer after beer, getting up frequently of course to relieve themselves, and distractingly bouncy in their seats. Why didn't they just go to a bar if they wanted to tie one on? It would have been a lot cheaper, and I would have enjoyed the movie so much more.

This was the first time I had been here. It 's well run, the food is good, and I was very impressed by how non-obtrusive and efficient the wait staff was. The food came out as quickly as it would at a regular restaurant. No small feat with the number of people they were feeding at the same time. Nice way to see a movie and relax. I don 't drink but my friend said they brew very good beer.

We want to Flix tonight for a dinner and a movie and were disappointed by the food. We’ve been before and had decent experiences, but tonight my fish and chips were over-cooked and the coleslaw tasted spoiled. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said “the cook said it’s fine and it’s just acidic tasting”. I know how coleslaw should taste, and I couldn’t eat it because I was scared I would get sick. After a few attempts, she finally brought me a new coleslaw. We still paid our full bill and the automatic 18% gratuity, but we were disappointed by the experience.

Not much beats a beer and pizza at 9am! My wife didn’t care for her breakfast tacos, unfortunately. And I’ll also need to bring earplugs next time for my sensitive ears. I’m sure the audio is pushing 100dBs—that’s a lot for three hours.

Good things first! It 's a great feature to have a bar and plenty of tables in the entrance area. It 's nice to have a happy hour available during the weekdays with discounts on some apps and drinks. I also like that they have a Wednesday discount on movies. The theaters have always been nice and clean upon arrival and I like being able to choose my seating online, days in advance!Downsides next. I 've been here six times both during the day and evening. The restrooms have been trashed. They might consider having a couple of attendants assigned to keeping the restrooms tidy and stocked.Most staff I 've encountered have been helpful and friendly, albeit perhaps a bit slow on service, at peak times. Maybe it 's a matter of being short staffed though.A mandatory 18% gratuity charged with every transaction. That does not give servers an incentive to provide decent and prompt service. Already high prices on food and beverages are even higher. Additional fee, if booking online, there is an additional convenience charge per ticket purchased!Side note: People should not be allowed to bring their babies and little kids into the movies or maybe Flix should provide a separate showing for people with small kids. It 's quite disruptive to have little ones wailing during a film. The audio can get loud, and it 's not safe for their little ears.
