Bidrage med feedbackRestaurant Downtown ABQ. Easy access on foot. I wanted to go. Waiting was about 30mn when I was there, it wasn't very busy on a cold 18:30. The reception was like that. I had Tonkatsu and an order from gyoza. It was fine, not extremely aromatic, but expectations were low.
You have a wide selection and a few unique items not found in other sushi places. The service is good, although they could be more attentive during the visit, rather than just the beginning, as I had to show the server twice in my visit, as they apparently forget about you after they deliver the order.
I called and asked if they had gluten-free items and they beat certain sushi rolls. I asked if they had gluten-free soy sauce and they said yes. I told them I would make a door-sh order. I have placed the order and specifically written in the notes about the order to ensure that everything is gluten-free as a reminder. Everything came with soy sauce, which is not gluten-free, etc. I called the shop and the man on the phone didn't seem like he had taken care of and said I don't know what to tell you, we have nothing gluten-free, refused to talk to the manager and refused a refund.
Got some sushi to go and was really disappointed. Fish on the rainbow roll was clearly old. It was pale looking and very mushy. The dark hair in one piece was an added bonus. The Carterpillar roll was just a plain roll with mushy avocado smeared all over. Overall not very happy with the presentation or taste considering the price.
Some of the worst food I?ve had in ABQ. I got a chicken karaage bento box, miso soup, and spicy edamame and EVERYTHING was disgusting. The California roll was an absolute joke. The pieces are HUGE and 90% rice. They gave me 2 end pieces that had no avocado and was about 96% rice. Yuck. The chicken is chewy. Both the egg roll and gyoza were over cooked and hard. I can guarantee I will not order from here again. Not a single redeeming quality. NONE of it was good. Save yourself the headache and ridiculous prices for trash food. Pictures included of their ?California roll?
