Kuma Ani (wolf Rd) - Albany

I will begin this review by saying that I have been in japan, and I have rumbled in japan and it was great. Since then I am looking for good arms near home. the search is finished now. that is not to say that this is the same as the ramen in japan, I believe that this is americanized, which is necessary in view of the expectations of customers and the quality of the meat here in comparison to in japan. the service was excellent, eating was quite fast, and eating itself was excellent. I really liked the pigs. the rarms themselves had a little too much meat and not enough sweet for what I was looking for, but I will build my own next time to get closer to what I was looking for. the broth is absolutely phenomenal and very similar to in japan. I love the fact that I can change the spiciness on the ramen.

Very pleased I decided to stop in Kuma Ani on Wolf Rd in Colonie. Very clean open restaurant. All food is made fresh upon order, cooked presented masterfully. I tried the egg rolls this time. Light, crispy served w/ a delightful sweet chili sauce. I cannot wait to go back try their Ramen the rest of their menu. If you want something amazing for your appetite stop in Kuma Ani, you won't be disappointed.

Sadly and sincerely disappointed considering the ratings this place had. If you 're going to call a dish Ultimate it 's coming with some built in high expectations. Kind of missed the mark for both my wife and I. The broth bad a strange mix of being too salty, but having very little flavor. The egg had almost no flavor either, and just didn 't taste good. The noodles themselves weren 't actually ramen noodles; seemed like super thin soba noodles. While I love soba noodles, the texture way way off for a bowl of ramen. For the price, it was horribly disappointing. I honestly feel like I would have been happier with a packet bought in the grocery store and made at home, which kills me, because I LOVE ramen restaurants... but we won 't be back.

Best Ramen I have ever had. I did a build your own. Highly recommend this place. I travel around the country for work. I eat out a lot. I know good food. This place rocks!

I've eaten here a half dozen times now over the past few months. I've worked on Wold Rd for over a decade and I can say that this is one of the few places that still prides themselves on craftsmanship.Never had a bad meal here, always ready on time, the food is exactly what you order every single time so they are consistent, they are never out of product, and they are very accommodating to changes within reason.I have no complaints what so ever, the food is good, the service is good, the prices are reasonable for the portions... two thumbs up.
