Bidrage med feedbackI defied the many negative reviews thinking, "it 's a full-service Hilton, how bad could it be? "Turns out that all those angry voices were right. The hotel is clearly worn and has not aged gracefully. The service at check-in was rude. My phone key didn 't work on the first room because the lockset was malfunctioning. When I went to reception, requesting a new room, the clerk asked about the malfunction and looked disappointed when she couldn 't blame me for not knowing how to open a door. Once I had a key (no more trust in their wireless capability), I asked if they offered free water to Hilton Honors status guests; the clerk literally grunted and meandered over to the cooler to get me some, looking clearly annoyed.Once in the room, I was not impressed. The ceiling in both the bathroom and the bedroom was peeling from the ceiling in multiple locations. There was torn wallpaper in the hallway, along with chipped paint in the room. The room was visibly dirty, with detritus on the tiles, in the bathrooms, etc.Definitely a massive disappointment and not worth the price point. My last stay, just the day before, was in a Hampton Inn. This was a step down. Avoid at all costs.Rooms: Worn and dated, showing water damage in both the bathroom and the bedroom. On top of that, dirty floors in the room, closet, bathroom. Disappointing and definitely NOT a luxury accommodation.
This Hotel is in a very old historic building. That being said, they have remodeled it beautifully. The rooms are clean, and the people are fantastic! I was worried being a female traveling alone, but I felt comfortable and safe after arriving. Not many hotels can give that peace of mind, but here, you can tell that they are striving for that customer satisfaction, and they got it from me!Safety: There was a security officer visible and interacting guests. What a nice way to make himself known.
Overall a good experience! The hotel was clean and everything worked well. I went here with a pretty large group for a wedding. I noticed when one of my family members checked in they told her to grab some bottles of water, and same with everyone else before us. But when we checked in they didn't offer anything.Rooms: 4/5
First, I want to emphasize that the staff here are top-notch. Everyone was kind, professional, and made my stay very nice. The lobby, bar, restaurant, and public areas were very nice. However, my room could have used a serious overhaul. The carpet was old and worn. Stains on all the walls. The toilet seat was starting to disintegrate. Oddly, the AC could not be adjusted. It stayed at 18c no matter what you did. The instructions on the wall stated if you got cold to turn the unit off and open the window. The windows don't open. ?? Not sure if all the rooms are like mine. If my room were nicer, it would have been an excellent stay.
If you never had a toilet that sang, you should book a room here. Every flush, the toilet let out a high pitched hum until the toilet bowl was done filling with water. Hotel is dated. Some hotels are old but charming, this however, you know it's old old. The room smelled stale upon entering, sheets had a weird yellowed stain on the side, tub had little hairs that you could feel under your feet, carpet has stains and everything is just dusty. You can clearly see this place needs a deep clean. There is also no hottub as stated on the amenities. Upon checking in, the receptionist was rude and has an attitude when answering my questions. Asked if there were any upgrades available and was told they were sold out but clearly at 11pm the hotel site still had rooms available. My key didn't work at executive lounge even though I went down to the lobby twice to have the issue fixed. The executive lounge isn't even worth being called an executive lounge. It's laughable in all honesty with what it has to offer. If most of the Hilton brand hotels weren't sold out for the night, I would have stayed at another. I should have read the reviews before booking. I've never had such a terrible experience at a Hilton such as this.
