Bidrage med feedbackWe decided to try Black and Blue after hearing it was worth checking out. The menu had a lot of steak and seafood plates. A Gluten free bread roll was available along with gf options for dinner. The menu had one vegan entrée a pasta dish for vegetarians. There was a nice wine list. The hostess at the front was lovely. The dining room was pleasant and the bar area was more casual with a TV. They serve you chocolate truffles with the check which is a nice touch. The wedge salad was a bit dry and we would have preferred bacon over the thick slab of ham.
Service is incredible. attentive and professional, and incredibly friendly. appetizers were 10/10. wagyu meatballs and lobster toast were near perfect. the steak was great, perfectly cooked, but I have had better steaks. the accompanying sauces could be better, but overall phenomenal dinner. great drinks too
We decided to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Black Blue as we had an excellent experience on our last visit. We were seated promptly. The wine proved to be wonderful and the server was friendly. As an appetizer, we ordered the Seafood Tower. It was on the skimpy side and most definitely a lot smaller than the last time. There were a few specials offered that evening. However, when attempting to order the one featuring Filet Mignon with Sea Scallops and potato, we were informed that it was no longer available, even though it was still early (only 6:30pm). Fortunately, the Filet Mignon ordered off the regular menu proved to be most satisfactory. The other 2 guests ordered the other special a 16 ounce dry rubbed NY Strip. Though tasty and cooked perfectly, the cut was tougher than expected, so rather disappointing. The Ribeye would have been a better choice all around. The sides sweet potato dumplings and mushrooms were just okay. While the wine glasses were attentively refilled, the water glasses were not. We enjoyed our booth at the bar. The atmosphere was great, but our table had 2 of the 3 bulbs in the overhead lamps burned out. We were told that this is apparently an issue throughout the restaurant...not sure why. And, last but not least, we had an itsy bitsy spider visit us mid way through our meal. Thankfully, we saw it dangling on a web above our table and got rid of it asap. Overall, we had a nice time. Yet, maybe expectations were set too high, or maybe it was due to the hectic nature of the holiday, but I really had hoped for more! Details matter a whole lot to me!
Great waitress and service on New Year's Eve dinner. Wine was excellent and seafood tower superb. Steaks were beautifully prepared with sauces of your choice. Hey, lots of bulbs out at the bar and our table. Details are important.
Black and Blue welcomed us with an inviting festivity at the host area. The service excelled, displaying attentiveness and warmth throughout the evening. The menu boasted delightful offerings, with the pan-seared steak and crab fondue stealing the spotlight—a harmonious blend of flavors that left a memorable mark. However, the red snapper dish fell short; while the sweet potato and crab sauce lent support, the fish itself lacked the punch of seasoning it desperately craved. As for ambiance, the restaurant unfortunately missed the mark on temperature, with a slightly chilly atmosphere detracting from an otherwise pleasant experience. Seating us in the bar booth exposed us to the bustling crowd, causing interruptions as the wait staff navigated around standing customers, resulting in occasional table bumps. Overall, Black and Blue Seafood Restaurant holds promise with its flavorful highlights and impeccable service but could benefit from fine-tuning the dining area's temperature control and managing bar crowds to ensure a more comfortable experience for diners.
