Pane Burro E Marmellata - ALASSIO

I said lots of nice things about this place nearly 5 years ago. It is still a delightful venue on what we still consider the prettiest little street in Alassio. Folks in Italy, and Alassio is no exception, take their coffee and cafe very seriously. Ideally, one has your favorite cafe/bar, they know what you are likely to order, and you settle in chatting with the proprietor and the regulars-that wonderful French word; Habitues . Our problem is that in the search for that near perfect cup of coffee, or the best nibbles to go with your gin and tonic, we have become friends with the owners of five establishments, and we are torn, perhaps dividing our trade and loyalties. Can we really take on another? It would be tempting. Pane, Burro...has a charming room and you 're overlooking a grand showcase of tempting cookies and gelato. In one corner, the cookies are being made all day. When the weather is better, you can sit outside and take in the comings and goings on the little jewel box street. In winter, you sit inside and the smell of the freshly brewed coffee and cookies is quite enough. I believe they have switched brands of coffee, but their cappucino still rates right up there with the best in town. The service is excellent, and they make you feel at home.

Breakfast with croissants and cappuccino. One of the best brioche in Alassio: flaky, buttery and with a perfect filling. Recommended, must try!

As a good ice cream connoisseur, here you can eat one of the best ice creams in Alassio. The ice cream is artisanal and made with passion and with the highest quality ingredients, congratulations! (2 flavors €3.50) The location is modern and tastefully furnished, both inside where a fantastic yellow Vespa stands out on the wall, and outside with colorful furniture and light bulbs.
