Brattin Cafe - ALASSIO

We were used to go to take a drink each time we came for holidays in Alassio, to the Brattin Cafe. It was a pleasure to go there the staff was very friendly... Twice we went there the staff has been changed no more guys a very unfriendly girl who said to me and my husband ' 'it 's to late to come here ' ' at 8pm ' 'I 'm going to close there is nothing to eat now you had to come at 6 pm ' ' Normaly they gave us small pizzas to eat with our drinks but now it 's over A good advice don 't go there, there are plenty of bars and cafe in Alassio don 't spend your money with this unpolite girls it 's better for her to work in a supermarket... What a shame !

Cafes and coffee are things people are passionate about in Italy. I'm not sure folks are as attached to their cafes here as they might be to a pub in England or Ireland, but perhaps they are. In any event, mid-morning Wednesday, the Brattin was full of locals, coming and going, chatting agreeably or reading the local papers. Serving fine regional coffee (Pasqualini), they make a respectable Cappucino at around 55% of the price you would pay in more touristy areas of the town. The location on the main higway/street through town is somewhat noisy and dusty, but they have a nice screened in area off on the side street with planters and pleasant mini-tables. Nothing fancy about this place, but agreeable people who don't mind serving a stranger. IF my Italian was better, I'm sure I could have pried open the local banter. Still, it is a pleasant and practical place to while away a quarter hour.

Nice little bartender a few tourists all alassini doc and a good aperitif . bring so many sos .. I loved it! outside is very nice , near the hotel Tuscany

On holiday to alassio we are suggested to make an aperitif in this place, the staff very kind, we order to drink, we get the order, I realize that my beer was not correct but there is no problem drinking the same, then we are delivered an amazing cutter! At some point the waiter comes with another beer apologising for the error! to which I say that absolutely it didn't have to go well or that but there was no history has been changed immediately! from there it was our daily bar where to go aperitifs! recommended white beer!
