Laika Cheesecake Espresso

Since we were in the area, we paid a visit to this establishment on Friday, January 26 at around 7 PM. We hear mixed reviews, so we wanted to see for ourselves. I’m going to be honest all around…..The cheesecake is good, if you get the slice that is. My husband is a cheesecake fanatic, but it did not blow us away and is a little pricey!We purchased three mason jars, and two slices. We both more so definitely recommend getting a slice of cheesecake to get more bang for your buck with the slice. The mason jars are super tiny for $7 plus tax. However, The slice is a pretty good size cut, along with beautiful presentation for $9 plus tax which we found the slice was definitely more worth it versus the little mason jars. 2 out of 3 mason jars were a little displeasing due to the crust at the bottom of the jar being a soft, liquid mushy crust, almost like a tres leches. It then made me wonder how long those jars had been sitting out. I don’t think that was suppose To be the consistency of a crust. However, The two slices were not like that and they were a perfect form of sliced cheesecake. The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful since it was our first time, and he was very kind and informative. So as far as “Service and atmosphere” that is my only five star rating. The establishment itself is very cute, and they even had free dog treats, one per pet. They definitely have cute, packaging and marketing, but I feel like I’m paying more for the boxes and the mason jars versus the cheesecake.

I live out of the service area for this restaurant. I recently ordered a cheesecake but was not able to pick it up on the expected date, due to an emergency situation. I provided 2 ways to contact me on the order form. I was not contacted by the store with notification that my cheesecake would be tossed out after a certain amount of time. When I went to the store to pick up the cheesecake, they told me that they had tossed it out. They did not offer to replace the cheesecake I specifically ordered, they denied my refund request, and they hung up on me on the phone. This is the worst customer service experience that I have ever had. I may consider legal action.

Holy smokes the cheesecake is dope!!! I took a picnic in space and it melted my face!In all seriousness though, this place is great. They’ve got excellent cheesecake and they make everything in house. I didn’t get coffee when I dropped in but they had a huge espresso machine and seeing as how great the cheesecake was I’m sad I didn’t get coffee on the way out. Friendly staff. Highly recommend 10/10!Vegetarian options: I didn’t see anything with meat here. It’s cheesecake and fruit and coffee and whatnot.

I'm not a big cheesecake fan, but these were perfect if you want good, not oversweet cheesecake.

Small quaint shop that serves some awesome cheesecake. Didn't try the coffee but my sister swears it's amazing.
