The Bagel Place - Ajijic

This place moved from the Carretera near Ajijc Travel to Bugambilia Mall. We went to Bagel Square from 2016-2019, but when we were looking for it in December 2018-January 2019, the store was closed. This could have been a result of the movie theatre that sells this mall to another chain. The cinema itself was renamed and gets a huge update. The Bagel Place was probably a security damage. I haven't seen anything about it. Normally, I would have given it four or five stars, but since there is no longer in operation, I gave it a three because you would post something with stars.

Their coffee is one of the best in town and it's much cheaper than the rest of the coffee shops near the plaza. Service was fast and the bagels tasted good. The location is a bit inconvenient because of the road noise but overall it's...a good place.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Large selection of bagels and extensive drink menu. Try one of their mango smoothies. Enjoyed my turkey bagel sandwich.

The bagels are too fluffy and bread-like, but they are shaped like bagels. That will have to do. The pesto bagel had a nice flavor. They gave us a cinnamon bagel when we asked for whole wheat. Meh.

Better buy them at Costco, prepacked. Carton and tasteless. They are now hidden in a corner in Buganvilla Plaza.
