Le Farniente - Ajaccio

Expensive and food is not good. Tourist nap. We had cold starter and main course but as said...not recommend

We went wanting a lovely lunch as the restaurant had caught our eye because we fancied mussels. We sat down and waited about 15 minutes until they finally noticed us and came for our order. My daughter (11) had been learning French at school and was excited to use a phrase she’d recently learned to ask for an ice cream and a pineapple juice. When she tried the waiter mocked her and said that he had no idea what she was saying because of her accent and that he didn’t like the English accent. This was off putting and very rude. We also ordered the mussels and I ordered a cheese board. After about 40 minutes the mussels finally arrived and they were the only thing nice about the restaurant. By the time my daughters ice cream had arrived the huge portion of mussels had been eaten and she was very hungry. Another 30 minutes later, still no cheese. We asked for the bill and waited a while and it seemed they’d forgotten. So we asked again and waited (still no bill). The 3rd time we asked it finally came but the waiters had disappeared so we left the money and went. Highly disappointed. The waiter was rude and arrogant, the food took a long time and we never got the cheese. I really don’t recommend this place , go to a different restaurant as the others looked quite nice.

We enjoyed three quite different fish meals, all were very tasty, beautifully presented and the service was good. highly recommended!

Excellent reception. Well located in front of the Gulf of Ajaccio. Perfect kitchen!

Very good restaurant. Sweet servers and fresh products. I recommend the products of the land as well as the sea.
