Bidrage med feedbackCan't go wrong supporting local, and no one more local than Dave's Ice Cream. This location has been around for years! Before 2020, I believe they used to be open until 10 and although late, it was quite necessary (imo). Nothing beats ice cream after a last minute dinner at Zippy's with your friends. This specific night my friends and I stopped by, it still amazed me how many people still came in during their last hour of service. They close at 9PM now and it's great to see how many families and groups of people come in to support the ice cream shop until the end. Not many table to sit at, but service is fast, the options are plentiful, and the ice cream hits the spot. I always love suggesting Dave's to locals and tourists alike. It's great that Dave's Ice Cream also has a spot in Waikiki for tourists to enjoy, but this spot is for the locals.
Our favorite best ice cream spot on the island hands down. Bonus points for being locally made. My favorite flavor is the Kona coffee my husband always gets the Rocky road but they have so many flavors to choose from. It never disappoints they always pack the cone with ice cream before adding your scoops on top. Parking is a little tight at this location but there's always cars coming going so you never have to wait too long for a spot. Customer service is always the best as well.
Hands down the best Ice Cream spot in the neighborhood! While food businesses comes and goes, this place has stood strong in the time of challenges and they are always busy! I know why... it 's the people. Simple. They are great people and consistent. They ALWAYS greet you warmly and takes great care of their customers. We frequent this place and they remember their regulars. Even while they 're slammed right around closing time, when it 's your turn they make you feel like you 're the only customer and takes the time to interact and have a genuine conversation. I LOVE that. Only good, genuine people can do what they do. AND they have the BEST flavor!! Have you tried Honeydew Mochi Ice Cream? Please don 't take it all though. It 's me and my daughter 's absolute fave!! Kinda glad it 's not cheap as I would take home a gallon every time if I could. Hahahahaha They also have good halo halo and milkshake too Their stamp card is very generous. I think we get a free scoop every other time Thank you and keep it up
I 've never been to Dave 's ice cream, but I 've had small scoops of the matcha from restaurants lol. So while in aiea, i wanted to try it out. Service was good, it was super busy at about 8pm. My first sample had a hair stuck to the wooden spoon.... I went with the 3 scoop of the green tea, Kona coffee, and the blue cotton candy I just couldn 't decide). I regretted all of them. The scoops were pretty big, which is nice! 3 scoops for $10 is also super affordable. The all three of my flavors were icy, like the ice cream was either not stored properly at all times or it wasn 't made properly. The green tea and the cotton candy had a slight chew to them. Almost gummy. Very unpleasant. The Kona coffee was a bit too bitter for my liking, and it was less gummy than the others and melted faster. My stomach was being turned upside down halfway though and I couldn 't finish it. Not sure why this place is so popular when the ice cream isn 't good. If only bubbie 's came back : '
Dave's Ice Cream located in Aiea is simply amazing quality ice cream. I refuse to have any other ice cream if it ain't Daves. This location in specifically has great workers with amazing customer service. As often as I come, I have never experienced any problem. I am always greeted in-and-out of the establishment. The store itself is very clean.
