Cucina Italiana - Ahrensburg

Very contrary to many of the reviews I found the service to be very pleasant. They were polite, attentive and came often to our table to check on us. The restaurant itself is also simple but very clean and OK when it comes to ambiance. For the location it is quite good in comparison to what you’d often find. Even the bathrooms were very clean and smelled pleasant. Unfortunately the pizza is not the best. There is very little to find in terms of good pizza in the Ahrensburg area. La Casetta falls in line with what you get at other places nearby. Very average pizza at best without a crunchy base nor quality cheese or sauce. We didn’t try any of the other dishes but I presume everything is just average. The prices are fairly moderate so I would say all in all it’s a solid 3 stars for where it is location wise and in comparison to everything else similar in the area. If the service wasn’t as good or the location clean it would be at least one star less.

Everything's great. Great prices, great food, great staff. Even let's you order pizzas to go. Definitely a recommendation!

Best tiramisu and panacotta. 10/10

Extremely well hidden out on the edge of Ahrensburg I stumbled across this place while out tackling a huge Mountainbike trail on my electric unicycle. I rode by asked if they were already open (it looked like they were just setting up) and they guy said sure!, so I pulled in and immediately ordered a coffee. Seeing the daily specials menu and it being 1 o'clock and all, I was like why not? I ordered truffle filled gnocchi with a truffle cream sauce. It was delicious! If they're looking for a suggestion, I'd maybe cut back on the truffles some (less is more), but I won't knock them for it. The place was very clean, staff was friendly and very attentive. If I'm ever in the area again, I would be up for stopping here again.

Tasty food with recommendations for the day. Ordered my beef rare-medium, it came well done, I would also not advise the tiramisu as it is made with cream instead of mascarpone. The past and the appetisers were good in taste and portion. In general it is a good place :
