Shankar Hotel - Agartala

Because the place was very recommended by the locals, we went here for lunch. the service is fast warm, and eating secretly delicious. the local clip (rows) and various curries served on a sheet (cut to fit the plate) form the...fare here. there are two adjacent restaurants of the same name, as the family had a three-way split. this review is for the restaurant in the center.

While the hotel is known for its Hilsa Fish, there are also many other delicious dishes available. Although on the pricey side, the food is fantastic. I decided to try the mutton curry with dal and it was absolutely delicious. The staff are well-dressed, courteous, and maintain cleanliness.

I wanted to have local food and fish so everyone recommended to go to this place. we did not go for Hilsa fish, as they said, they would charge us 600. I decided to fish, others decided to eat for huh and...mutton that was okay as we had hunger. there was nothing great, typical hotel dinner, spicy. there were three hotels in shankar, not sure which are better, as recommended to us to go to this hotel that is the middle.

I regret to say that the quality and taste of the meal were not good. The mutton curry was full of inedible waste pieces, and overall, the food did not meet standard expectations.

This place boasts of local cuisine ranging from fish to meat. Food was really good and price was good too. The place was crowded too. Really authentic food.
