Central Restaurant - Affoltern am Albis

After moving to Affoltern am Albis, my family and I always wondered about Central: the restaurant was always busy on the weekends. We finally tried it out when my parents visited and were very happy with the experience. Staff was friendly and helpful (especially with...a small child). Decor was a touch better than the typical Swiss style of bright lights, wood panelling, etc. That being said, it was warm and cozy and a generally a nice place to be. Dinner was traditional European fare, however the restaurant also specialises in Steak Tartar. So much, so they have an entire menu card devoted to different styles of tartar. My wife and parents went for warm food, which looked nice (albeit I didn 't taste it). My tartar was to die for: fresh, lots of flavour, and a nice solid spicy kick. Prices were above average for a Swiss night out, with the total meal (including some drinks) of well over CHF 300. Nonetheless, it was a very nice experience and I would happily go back.

This place is always worth a visit. The staff is very friendly. Delicious dishes! Nice atmosphere! I especially enjoy coming here in winter time with the open fire in the fireplace.
