Pochtenfall - Aeschi bei Spiez

There are parking spaces at the entrance to the valley and its seemed to be the done to go up the valley at the side to the small river and then to eat in the restaurant and go back. there are also many more...exercise walks in the surroundings. we parked about two thirds and went to the waterfall pochtenfall, which is about ten minutes steep walk from the restaurant. while its beautiful view it is not as spectacular as other waterfalls in the opposite. the way goes up and over the waterfall, but we stopped after we had seen the storm. we then had lunch in the restaurant that is in a clearing and has rows and rows of trestle tables and is very popular. eating is a good German home kitchen, consisting of large plate players both the net and desserts. I had sausages and potato salad and my man had the salat that was stacked high on the dish and a bottle very tasty homemade. dressing was placed on the table. others had only coffee and cake we were the only brides. the men of the family who seem to run it have the task to go round and to chat and check the customers, they enjoy eating and a good time. it would have helped if we had a little more than very primitive German at this point, but it did not stop talking to us all told a nice friendly place in a beautiful location

Great restaurant with a nice beer garden. The food looked delicious, unfortunately I wasn't hungry so I just had a drink and enjoyed the view.

Feline's food...tasted good. The Oreis wasn't bad either.

Original, always worth a visit. Nice staff and fine food. Lots of homemade stuff

We only ate ice cream, the staff was very friendly. The small playground with a large trampoline and slide was great for the children. The surrounding area is also worth seeing.
