Town Friar - Acton

The food at this restaurant is well-prepared and delicious. Contrary to what some may believe, this establishment is open all day and not just from 6-9. I will definitely be returning, as I have never been disappointed.

The fish and chips were disappointing as they did not come with the requested sweet potato fries. The regular fries had no taste and were limp. The fish portions were large but the batter was soggy and needed to be removed. The oil used seemed old and the fish was rubbery and hard, almost tasting as if it had been frozen. Overall, not the best fish and chips I've had. However, the owner was friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant is quite old and starting to show its age, making it a bit difficult to enjoy the fish and chips. The food is good, but slightly pricey. It is the only fish and chip shop in the city, but the quality of the fish sets it apart from others in the area.

Fast and delicious every time. Surprisingly, the cheaper cod was actually the better fish. definitiw not a raised esserei, but when they sprinkle broken fish and fries it is hard to beat.

Stopped by and ate in halibut and chips. Service was very quick, warm, and friendly. Great halibut, good chips and coleslaw. Inside very dated but ads a bit to its charm.
