We are back at Famous Dave’s in Abu Dhabi Mall, the first of their branches in the UAE and the place where they got us addicted to their style of low and slow smoked meat, which we have always enjoyed over their wide network of branches in the UAE. This visit is also a special occasion, and it is to try their very special, limited edition, RIB Volution Menu, which seems to have become the conversation of the city, and, oh boy, they have thrown us away again. It's a weekday evening, but the place is pretty busy, we are warmly welcomed by Mike the manager and Annie, who is our hostess for the evening that shows us on a comfortable table in a quiet corner. Soon she's back with the menus. In addition to the main menu is a slender two-side special, RIB Volution menu dedicated to their crazy, fed, slowly smoked ribs. There are three starters and three mains and then there are their show stoppers, the humungous Big Daddy Platter fed with the largest grain slowly smoked rack of dinosaur ribs we have ever seen, it is definitely a look to see absolutely amazing. We are three very hungry meat eaters, and it was hard to decide what to order, so we decided to eat the menu that was for us at all a first, imagine going to a restaurant and order the whole menu! Soon Annie sorted us with our drinks and the appetizers came, which was a pleasant surprise, as they hardly took time. Here we ordered Quesabiria Tacos – Neatly plated on a neat round black slate these soft tacos burst with drawn, fed, slowly smoked short rib with cheese, cilantro and picked onions with their Tex Mex meat sauce, the meat is even softer than the maize tortilla and full taste. Trimmed Crusts Ribs Pate – an elegant, visually attractive coating of the short rib, this time it is with Mayo, acid cream and herbs on Sesam Toast, amazing taste, very light and a leak to the eyes. Smoked Pulled Rib Corn Tacos – This is another outstanding dish, excellently presented with rib meat in corn tacos with cheese, Jalapeño Mayo and salsa with some perfectly cooked frits on the side, This is one of the highlights of the meal, loved it. We enjoy the meal; the ambience is soothingly laid apart with tables, so everyone has their own space to enjoy the meal and the company Annie offers us drinks refills and soon the net are served. Louisiana Aromatic Rice and Rib – A perfect pairing of slowly smoked short rib and aromatic rice with their Tex Mex sauce served with their home salad, a great meal we could eat daily. The Belly Grinder – This has the short rib with its rich and sassy sauce served on a sesame baguette with cheese, a super tasty and surprisingly light sandwich. The Highwayman - The slowly smoked short ribs paired with their Jalapeño Mayo, the rich and sassy sauce with cheese on a multigrain bag with a short ribtaco and frits on the side, perfect combination and ideal for those who are a little hungry The Big Daddy Platter – This is the star of the show and an absolute **** have seen a huge rectangular plate of chewing The ribs are surrounded with butter broccoli, corn on the cob and potatoes along with a beautiful pepper corn sauce, we only noodle the meat, and it falls out the bone, it is soft, juicy and an absolute pleasure to eat, warn this only for serious meat eaters. So, we are completely filled, and it's almost closing time, so we take hesitate our vacation, Famous Dave did it again, an excellent menu, skillfully executed, bursting with flavors. The ambience is right, the service is excellent and all this at very reasonable price point Famous Daves has a very popular place for a large number of people, great work guys, see soon.
